In 1921 the Café de la Station, founded by the family Jean Gruber-Freilinger, was established with a café, bowling alley, 3 rooms and a gas station.

1987 Takeover of the hotel by his son Jean-Jacques Gruber, graduate of the prestigious Alexis Heck Diekirch Hotel Management School and member of Euro-Toques. The hotel is undergoing renovation work on the tennis court, extension of the restaurant, renovation of the rooms and the garden. Marriage with Marguy Diederich, who is still managing the hotel and restaurant.

Uistekend! Een paar dagen geweest om in de omgeving te gaan fietsen en wandelen. Goed hotel vlakbij Echternach. Kamers zijn schoon en netjes, Ontbijt en avondeten zijn uitstekend en personeel is behulpzaam. Een aanrader als je in de buurt van Echternach een hotel zoek!
